Fire Station #43

Client: City of Charlotte

This project with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Fire Department involves the design of a new 12,800 SF, three-bay fire station. The building is slated to attain at least a LEED Version 4 Certification Level and designed to earn ENERGY STAR Certification. To this end, the design includes a geothermal well field with a primary/secondary pumping system and there is an option to provide a photovoltaic solar array to either offset or fully provide the electrical power needs for the station.
