CMPD Facilities Assessment and Master Plan

Client: City of Charlotte

This project involved a facility assessment, programming study and master plan for the Police-Fire Academy, Special Operations and Special Investigations Bureau. Boomerang worked with the City's project leadership to assess the existing conditions of their old Police Academy Building and to determine the facility’s future needs. Renovations to update the facility were found to be too costly; a new, more secure, functional, and sustainable two-story building on-site was proposed to replace the old building, which would be demolished in the final phase of construction.
